It’s easy to find clothing that’s not made from animals at most places where you’d normally shop- just check the labels. That said, buying from vegan companies or shops has a few benefits. Obviously, there’s the convenience of not having to check the labels of every item you buy. But since vegans tend to care about compassion toward other living beings, fellow humans included, vegan companies don’t use sweatshop labor. And if a company cares enough to be vegan, it follows that they really care about the products they make and the manner in which they make them. All of this means that when you shop vegan, you’re voting with your hard-earned cash–for animal rights, human rights, and environmentally friendly production methods–and getting a high-quality product in the bargain.
Here are some of my recommendations for websites and shops to fulfill your fashion needs. I’ve organized them by location, since it’s easier and cheaper to order from places near where you live. However, since most sites ship internationally, there’s no reason you can’t browse and shop worldwide.
